Up before 07:00 Penny not feeling too great all showered packed up and we left the apartment after 08:00. Had issues getting a taxi as not many were coming past us, so we switched over the 6 lane road and had not much luck there either, so back to where we were originally and a taxi stopped for us. To Xian North Railway Station was a 40 minute ride this is where all the bullet trains depart from. Did all the formalities and boarded the train before 10:00 got our bags put away and sat in our spacious 2nd class seats. Penny curled up and feel asleep she is getting a lot of sleep which is good.
It was smoggy all the way up here to Xining, the train was climbing all the way and we maxed speed 246 KPH but a lot of the way under 200. A lot of mountains we saw and passed through about 6 large cities. Lot of agriculture land farmed which needs to be to feed the 1.3 billion people. We arrived after a 5 hour journey and found our way to the taxi queue. Half an hour later we are in a taxi to our hotel. We check in the bed is comfortable big room and chairs to sit in. Penny lays on the bed and I go for a walk, found some local food, fruit and more water. Penny said she was not hungry when I left but she ate well which is good. Again the Chinese hotels are very warm, radiators are on, 25C got the window open and the room door so we have a cooling breeze. Have done some more hand washing which is drying out on the radiators. Going to be another quiet night hopefully Penny will be feeling much better tomorrow.
